Interview Encarnita Robles, "Enkaru "

Good
all readers and followers of this blog on this occasion, I would like to offer you an interview I recently conducted a English otaku, quasi compatriot of mine, Orihuela natural and has a publication that is entitled "Trisquel", a manga that could frame, if it were a Japanese publishing and idea within the genre "shonen" but that obviously belongs to the genus gajin "or, should I say, work style or inspiration manga made by overseas and in this case, English.

The main motivation that led me to interview to Enkaru has been his recent invitation by the I Salón del Manga de Alicante, which was held at the IFA, on the outskirts of Alicante, on 14 and 15 May, an event which we hope will also attend as participants and we pending approval of a proposed conference on the Dragon Ball phenomenon from its origins until today. However, we would not obscure the author of this fantastic interview with our intentions and future projects. On a negative note the interview has a server, specifically his camera that when they put new batteries died, so rest in peace .... After six years of loyal service .....

Now, without further ado, we offer an exclusive interview with this wonderful author.

1 - To start the interview, I would like to give us some personal data, not committed, so that readers can know you better.

Well, my name is Encarnita Robles, have conducted studies in Graphic Design Advertising Alicante. Also, I studied Japanese at a basic level, at the University of Alicante and apart, then I have worked in Torrevieja.

2 - Do you think a good otaku or a person who considers herself as a lover and follower of Japanese culture, particularly manga and anime, you know Japanese?

Learn Japanese is not necessary for a good otaku. If you like a language you learn fast, that surprises people.

3 - What do you prefer in the anime series, dubbed one hundred percent into a language understandable or subtitled version of our most popular languages, such as Castilian or failing that, Valencian and Catalan , or if I hurry, English ...?

For my part, and without any openly, I think supported the original version, rather than dubbing. Now, as to the original version should also be well translated texts, ie the subtitles. As for the series that have been the subject of dubbing, it is also true that I do not want to express outright opposition that they are bent, if the dubbing is well done need not speak of it is wrong to generalize, bend series .

4 - What are your favorite series?

would not know what to say. There is so much that I read that I could not give a clear answer. I fell in love the manga to see every day Ranma 1 / 2 and I would say, everything I've read and seen, this is my favorite series. He saw the series first and then, if possible, I bought the comics. I also liked City Hunter and now I'm reading Bakuman. The latter do not consider my favorite, but for me it has its charm and its importance as the plot revolves around the entire world of professional otaku in all its facets, manga, anime, etc.

5 - Tell us about your masterpiece, "Trisquel"

For starters, I have drawn in any manga in particular. This book is the result of everything I've read so far. Brings the essence of the manga of the nineties. With regard to the protagonists are taken from a game, Guild Wars, PC, an online game in the style of World of Warcraft. Therefore, the characters, artistically speaking, are the result of the game that I've mentioned and manga style of the nineties, some particular series as Ranma.

6 - What are the feelings for the invitation Hall Manga Alicante?

Obviously, I am happy and much to the Hall of Alicante Manga inviting me and this is the result of that I'm stuck in the scene.

7 - Like I did with the last person I interviewed, Angela Ruiz Lara, I would like to give me your opinion, and drench jejeje, on video games, as I believe that all otaku whether boy or girl, is somehow linked to video games. "2D or 3D?

a child, I liked the manga, but also video games. Need not be related from an objective standpoint, but certainly is and it is good because it can also be a source of inspiration for those of us involved to draw. With respect to the 2D/3D debate, I see that I like the games before, mostly because they are to these games that I grew up and have more charm, especially now if you have the opportunity to play either to the consoles of each one, or using emulators. On the other hand, thanks to 3D technology, but also a great satisfaction and enjoyment, and adaptation to 3D video game franchises are originally 2D need not be a mistake, as is the case of street fighter.

8 - What is your favorite genre of video games?

My favorite genre is RPG. Although any kind I like, I have to admit that the RPG is my favorite. Before I liked the Final Fantasy, but now I like more like Baldur's Gate or World of Warcraft, although these can not be considered proper RPG.

9 - Rather, it would be "Action RPG"

If you're right.

I like the seventh deliveries, Final Fantasy VII, but also the previous game, FFVI, which I played through the emulator.

12 - Give us some insight or important aspects of your work Trisquel, because I realize that is somewhat spicy.

's not too spicy, in my view, what happens is that the protagonist is a little perverted. I would like to add that, in terms of the favorite series would be Berserk.

13 - It is very fashionable, and that is of great merit for our country and for the many creative minds willing to work gajin line. What do you think of this phenomenon, which forms part?

In Spain it is difficult to make a living as an artist in Spain, the opposite of what happens in Japan, where the main authors make a living drawing and doing what you love. It is best to go abroad. It should turn a lot of encouragement if you really like, but above all get the idea that here in Spain is fairly complicated thing and abroad will most likely be a cartoonist is a script already made or work in the ink . You never know what can happen despite the difficulties. If you always strive and work can achieve great things. We must try, have to be there and always be positive.

From Trisquel, work of which I am doing the second volume, I have come other jobs. I met my current agent. We must move and move, if you say no, do not give up and go there and give everything. You usually start from the bottom, from the basics, but with faith and desire you can reach the top.

14 - To end the interview, I would like to give us some information about your current projects.

I am currently waiting for me to respond in a French publisher to see if what I'm interested in doing. I am also preparing a few pages to the United States. I would love to not stagnate in the manga, and I'd like to also try their luck in the American comic, and especially to reach the top, a DC or Marvel. If not catch me, but I will try, if not in an editorial, is another. I'm also doing the character design of an online game that is under development and I can not give much information, I hope you understand.

15 - Do not worry, we understand. Thank you very much for taking part in this Friday evening to answer these questions. We wish you all the luck in the world and God willing, we will be at the Salon del Manga de Alicante. See you soon.
